About the opportunity

We’re looking for an ambitious, detail-oriented buyer who is looking for a challenging position in a fast-growing, start-up environment. In this role, you will be busy, you’ll never be bored, and there is no such thing as a typical day.

This Planning & Inventory Management Specialist reports to the Supply Chain Manager and works closely with our vendors and fulfillment partners to deliver healthy foods to our customers.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Work primarily in excel to determine order quantities and appropriate inventory levels
  • Proactively manage inventory levels at 3PL warehouses to meet customer demand while balancing product dating and margins
  • Place purchase orders on a weekly basis and manage weekly deliveries with vendors
  • Develop short-term and long-term customer demand plans and translate those plans into an efficient, effective supply plan
  • Solid understanding of demand/supply planning, purchasing, operations and transportation
  • Work with vendors to ensure on-time delivery of orders


  • 1-3 years purchasing / inventory management experience; experience with short-shelf life product a plus
  • Bachelor’s Degree required with focus on supply chain, operations, or related area
  • Expertise in Excel and Google Sheets; comfortable learning new systems
  • Ability to use data and reports to make decisions, identify problems and improve inventory management
  • Work cross-functionally to manage launch of new products to meet customer demand
  • Detail oriented and able to meet timelines
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and able to work both independently and in team settings
  • Strong organizational skills
  • A clear communicator with solid written and oral communications
  • A motivated, positive, proactive and transparent attitude
