A note from Dale Gray
As someone with ADHD, I know feeding myself can become surprisingly difficult when I’m home alone. It’s not that I don’t want to eat. It’s that deciding what to make, gathering ingredients, starting the process, and cleaning up can feel like too many steps when my brain is already on overdrive. When those steps pile up, I’ll often realize at 9 p.m. that I’ve barely eaten. I need protein, STAT! Daley Dinner Wins is my solution: low-effort, high-reward ways to build a satisfying meal without starting from scratch. The goal is to remove as many decisions and steps as possible while still making food feel enjoyable. Having ready-to-use components means I can assemble instead of cook, mix and match instead of plan, and feed myself before I reach burnout. This is especially helpful when it’s just me at home 5 nights per week. These meals aren’t about cooking perfectly. They’re about creating little wins that make taking care of myself easier. Sometimes dinner doesn’t need to be a project. It just needs to happen!
